Shifting power
Football fans across Europe have been anticipating the 2021 summer transfer window with bated breath, and it did not disappoint. Some of the most notable transfers of the window include Lionel Messi’s move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain, Romelu Lukaku’s move from Inter Milan to Chelsea, and Cristiano Ronaldo’s move from Juventus to Manchester United.
Messi’s move to PSG was particularly surprising, as many fans expected him to sign with Manchester City or stay at Barcelona. His arrival at PSG has created a new “super team” and raised expectations for the club’s success this season.
Lukaku’s move back to Chelsea was also highly anticipated, as he had previously played for the club from 2011-2014. He made an immediate impact in his return, scoring on his debut and helping Chelsea win the UEFA Super Cup.
Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United has been a dream come true for many fans of the club. He previously played for United from 2003-2009, and his return has brought a renewed sense of excitement to Old Trafford.
Of course, the best transfer across Europe is ultimately a matter of opinion and can be debated. If you have any specific thoughts or opinions on any of these transfers, I’d be happy to hear them and incorporate them into my response.
